About Our Chapter

Engineers Without Borders – Georgia Tech aims to use engineering to help communities meet their basic needs and equip leaders to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. Today, more than two billion people lack access to basic resources, such as clean drinking water, adequate sanitation, reliable passage to local markets and more. EWB-GT is a chapter of EWB-USA, an organization engineering change in 39 countries around the world to change this reality — one well at a time, one bridge at a time, one community at a time.

EWB-GT has five active projects:

Each project is organized into committees dedicated to specific functions, such as technical, marketing, and finances, with a leadership team to guide the project. EWB-GT welcomes students of all walks of life and majors. Although EWB-GT focuses on engineering projects, it takes a team of leaders, technical writers, communicators, business people, and translators to make it happen.
